Just an observation here.  The other night, I'm flipping channels and I see this reality show and the topic seems to be...harvesting wheat.  All I saw was this huge wheat field and this guy talking about the race to get it harvested.  Really?  Really?

I admit to a couple of reality shows that I'm pretty much addicted to, Deadliest Catch and Ultimate Fighter.  (Good show this season and Michael Bisping is a fucking dick)  Anyway, is it time the reality fad has run it's course?  Off the top of my head, I can think of..

Have not read the entire thread.  Reality shows let producers fill air time with low cost "talent".    Simple as that.  Pay the cast of friends a bazzilion dollars an episode, or swamp people 500 bucks an episode?  Simple math.

You're so right, Carl.  Forgot about that one and that's one that I have actually sat down to several times.  Billy is so out there, and such a bad actor that I can't turn away.  Plus, I hate wasps with a passion and he's always wiping out a colony of the nasty frickers. 

Caught what is probably an old episode of Swamp People this weekend.  One of those toothless bastards was on the swamp at 1:00 in the morning....grabbing snakes out of the water with his hands.  Reached in a submerged tire and grabbed one..and it bit him.  Just turned out not to be a mocassin. Still......
