Well to be honest, I thought the same thing but I just didn't want to say it hoping it would change something. There has been this dark cloud over the Bball program for some time now. Maybe the coaches should lock this guy in an asylum type gym with a tudor for the next several years.
Werrrd....It's just been so long since anything really good has happened for this program outside the new arena. Love that, though. I guarantee there hasn't been one year in the last ten when we didn't have one or more significant losses due to any number of reasons. It's just to be expected. Last year, when Barbee came in, he immediately hit the trail and plucked several guys who could come in and help this team right away. Not one made it to campus. Then he goes through this past season with a rag tag bunch, maybe one of which could play for any other team in the SEC...and what happens? The leading scorer/rebounder is gone after the season. Don't even recall the reason. It really didn't matter.
I like Barbee and his approach. For the first time in forever, it looks like they actually run an offense, real plays, real motion and not just who can launch the first 3. They play hard as hell on defense and one thing I noticed is Barbee really has a way of using his time outs at appropriate moments to stem the other teams momentum and do some teaching. I just hope these guys he's bringing in pan out and this program starts being competitive.
