Finally saw it this afternoon. I had high expectations going in, and was still blown away. Almost non-stop action and many great one-liners to boot.

Also, I am in love. Scarlet Johansson as Black Widow with the red hair...and the ass kicking. Damn, just damn.

Definitely agree. IMO, it's the best Super Hero movie to date. Avengers 2 and 3 won't be as good as this one...they'll be good, but not like the first one. Avengers has Grammy Awards written all over it.

Saw this last night in 3D (which didn't really add much to this particular movie....except price).

The first 45 minutes could have been cut. Way too slow to build up. If the director is assuming that we've seen the lead-in movies, then most of this was completely superfluous.

The one-liners were good, the action fun (though some of the fight scenes were a bit muddy...not sure if that was a 3D flaw).

The glaring disconnect: one minute Hulk wants to kill the luscious ScarJo and the next he's a team player. Falling from the sky knocked some sense into him?
