One thing and one thing only. That's what he's doing. He's doing the same thing he does every single day all day long.
Pandering.
I didn't listen to his show for a minute today, but I can bet that he was inundated with Dale Jr. loving marble mouth motherfuckers congratulating him for "givin' them fuckin' elitist yankees hell."
In reality he's taken a page out of the old George Wallace playbook. He holds himself up as the defender of the downtrodden, the regular man's hero, the blue collar brawler, out there on the front lines just telling them ignant outside yankee fuckers what's what! It made George a legend.
How many times have we seen Paul do it? He paints everybody else as elitist snobs (the bane of your t-shirt, trucker hat and Wolverine-wearing gump's existence) and portrays himself as the regular man's warrior while neglecting to mention that he sips cognac, nibbles on caviar and snickers at them behind their back.
