You changed it when you brought up ESPN not playing his song for his comments.
He wasn't comparing Obama to Hitler. He was comparing 2 polar opposite, unlikely sides making company with one another. Maybe he should have used Catholics and Protestants, Yankees and Southerners, Jews and Arabs. Whenever Hitler gets invoked, its almost an automatic death sentence now. All he was doing was comparing polar opposites. His only crime here is probably using a bad example. You all know this and want to make a huge deal out of very little. Hippies.
That's a nice cop-out, and I'd agree if all he did was use Hitler as a comparison.
Gretchen Carlson made a point to clarify that he was using Hitler to describe the President, and he chuckled and said "Yeah, well, that's true," and said not to ask him a question because you'll get an honest answer.
But to me, forget about the Hitler comments, what was even worse, was the comments about how "they're the enemy. OBAMA!"
The commander-in-chief of the United States is the enemy? Ok, Ahmadinejad. That's bordering on treasony. You'd see that if we had a Republican president, which is why I brought that up.
You can claim people "lambasted Bush worse than that and there was no outrage", but that is complete bullshit. So when the Dixie Chicks said they were embarrassed to be from Texas where Bush is from, you never commented on it. It wasn't controversial at all. They weren't banned nationwide from radio stations and there were no organized CD/merchandise burnings/steamrollings?
