Well, we had "equal time" this week too. Shaun Alexander came to speak to our team. Fuckin' shit this fuck said all of the following before he ever said anything about "his relationship with Christ"...
I was the best HS player of my recruiting class...
I had 100 TDs in HS...
I had 50 TDs in College...
I was the MVP in the NFL, which make ME the greatest player in the world...
I have a hot wife...
I have loads of money...
When I went to Seahawks parties, the owner knew who I was, and didn't know my buddy who was an undrafted free agent...
Then proceeded to tell the young men
I did all that to glorify God. Not that God gave him the ability, or blessed him, but like he was "the man" and giving credit to someone else. He gave his "3 points for success" after talking about how great he was...#1 was "Put God first"...though he never tied in exactly how God factored in to his life. I've heard a lot of these kinds of talks, but this one rang as hollow as any I've ever heard.
The HC, who I have said already is a raging bammer, actually agreed with me. I said "So, I wasn't listening with Orange and Blue glasses, Shaun really is all about him some Shaun, and Shaun's accomplishments"? He said, "yeah, that's what I heard too".
