Former Alabama recruits Jadeveon Clowney and Isaiah Crowell were two of the Crimson Tide's biggest targets for its 2012 signing class. Both signed national letters of intent with other schools both opting to stay in their home states: Clowney with South Carolina, and Crowell with Georgia.
Despite missing out on Clowney and Crowell, Alabama still walked away with what most recruiting analysts considered to be the top signing class of 2011.
