I'm not the bailiff and we don't have one for traffic court.  And,  I don't want any greasy plaid hats with a  :bammer: on them.   At least one of the guys in the CAT hat respectfully removed his  hat when he approached me to talk to me, and when he went to the bench to see the judge.

I'm not a bailiff and I still take them.  If you walk up to them with a serious face and tell them they can have their hat back when they are ready to leave, they'll either give it to you or leave.  If they weren't turds (or responsible for raising turds) they wouldn't be there.   They know the drill.     

Put your balls on them.  It's fun.
