Danny Sheridan continues to make vague, unsubstantiated claims without backing them up with proof. Contrary to his claims of having an inside source with details on the Auburn investigation, the NCAA has not provided information to Sheridan or anyone else. As a matter of due diligence, the NCAA spoke with Sheridan this week to determine if he had any facts pertaining to the investigation. Sheridan, however, did not provide any information to the enforcement staff and certainly did not provide a name. Instead, he unsuccessfully attempted to gather information for his own use.

I am truly amazed at his pathetic attempts to cling to this and lend it credibility.

I was shocked that he stuck by it after the complete flop on his show. He could have saved himself the embarrassment by laughing at Danny with everyone else.

Then going on ESPN today to back him up. FAIL.

And now the fact that he's STILL trying to cherry pick and parse that statement to drag it out.

Paul just now: "Why would the NCAA be going after Danny Sheridan, unless they feared something coming out. I mean, for them to accuse him of trying to seek information from him, when they called him asking for an interview?

Caller: "Well, cause they're trying to discredit him."

Paul: "I think most people will take the NCAA at face value, but why should you?"

Ridpath: "Me doth think they protest too much. I think it's getting people thinking why are they protesting? I mean, if Danny Sheridan is just a whacko making this story up, why even acknowledge it?"

This is the most logically devoid conversation I can think of.

Just yesterday, they were saying that Emmert's silence on the issue was proof that Sheridan was telling the truth.

I think that maybe the NCAA is starting to realize that maybe they can't just be totally silent on some of this shit, because eventually it starts to undermine their ability to do their work.

They can't just sit back and allow just any and all hacks with a story to take advantage on their silence on these matters to keep bullshit alive.

Was sort of the reasoning behind my "open letter" post. Was glad to see their response today to Sheridan. Much needed.

Actually, I'm not sure the full "deadness" of Danny is depicted in this particular photo. He made Tim Brando and his caked on Liver spot control look normal.
