Paul is losing me with his foreign policy stances. He also refuses to articulate a message well. He comes off looking like a milder version of Alex Jones and a kook.
I absolutely love
Ron Paul when it comes to Economics and domestic policy. He is also big on "less fed and more power to the state" Love it, Love it, Love it!!!! Get the federal gov't out of peoples lives as much as possible and allow the states to worry about things like Education, Civil Unions and Abortion. I agree 100% with that, but.......
I have never been a fan of his foreign policy. He is an isolationist and it can't happen nor is it possible. When he speaks, I agree with about 85% of it (b/c deep down I have a lot of Libertarian tendencies) but it's that 15% that absolutely scares the shit out of me. His foreign policy is horrid and that is being polite. His son Rand, is not like that, and I like Rand a lot more than I ever will Ron.
I thought
Newt came across as the guy who "doesn't really wants to be Pres, but wants to be heard." I really felt that way when listening to him speak. I though he was the smartest guy in the room politically, he knows/knew more than anyone on the stage about the legislative process works and how our Gov't should be ran. Maybe his campaign is more for a cabinet position? I just don't get the feeling he is real serious about it.
Cain - Good god I love that man in a non AWK/Vandy Vol/Chizad homosex kind of way. I don't know that he is electable though. I just don't know. I wonder if his lack of political experience will hurt him? Will he know when it's time to take the gloves off and attack? If he does, will he know how?
Bachmann - Thought she did a good job and thought she waxed Pawlenty's ass, but she is not ready. I think she will be painted as another Palin by the MSM and it will kill her chances.
Santorum - Fuck him in da mouf. When he said that Bachmann and Paul were wrong for saying they would have never raised the debt ceiling b/c there are and will be times we need to raise it, just told me that he wasn't serious about spending. Cut, Cap and Balance. Anyone who promotes anything other than that is out for me. His stance on abortion was also authoritarian, fuck him. He apparently hates the states having any power. Once again, fuck him.
Jon Huntsman - Dear Mr. Hunstman:
Please drop out and get in the Democratic primaries.
Thanks,
AUT1
Romney - Still not sold on him, but came across as a cool customer, didn't didn't shook up.
Pawlenty - NMI like that Perry is in the race. I really think if he gets the support from Christie that I think he will, that it would be a real possibility that him and Christie would be the ticket. I have no issues with that.
I was disappointed in some of the answers on social issues. I think that Bachmann would be the first to give too much detail to social issues and lose focus on the main issue and that is us being broke and having a shitty economy right now. This is where the Libertarian in me comes out, but leave a lot of that shit up to the states. Let the people of the state decide. I admit, it would be difficult with 50 different states having 50 different laws, but it could be done. It's not impossible. Some of it is a lost cause though. You can't legislate morality.
