Yes Stanford blew a good lead. But they route all but Alabama and maybe Arkansas (see OSU ?). The rest of the conference would not keep up with Oregon last season. Auburn could stand toe to toe with them when few could. I don't care for them...just respect their game.

No sense sugar coating it. That AU defense was statistically among the worst in the SEC and one of the worst in AU history.  There were mitigating factors, yes. But still. 

Oregon wouldnt have crossed midfield against half the SEC. More than 1/3 of the total yards against AU came on one play.  Another 15% on a fake punt.  They had nothing. AU was faster and stronger. 

Take a random tiger defense from dye or Tuberville  and the ducks could have played six months and not scored.
