Yeah I missed it too. I heard he stood up to callers but I was interested to know if he had added any new clues to the mystery.

Sheridan said the NCAA is still looking for the bagman to come forward.  He doesn't think he will, so the case is going to be dropped.  But the NCAA knows who the bagman is, who the wealthy booster is, how much money was delivered, and where it went.  He then went on to say a witness is cooperating with the NCAA giving them all the info they need. 

He also says he will reveal the name of the bagman in 3 weeks.

And if anyone doubts him, he's offering a bet.  You put up 7 figures.  He'll take a polygraph test to prove he isn't lying. 

Oh and he thinks this case will go no where and most likely won't amount to anything.

Let's say Sheridan goes back on Finebaum a few days before the start of the season and drops a name as the bagman. 

Are there any laws to protect the person named if it's not true?  Could he sue Sheridan?

For USA Today, he sets the daily odds on every sport along with political and esoteric odds – for example, will Alan Greenspan lower the interest rate, and if so, by how much?
