because if he did, he'd have discovered that this little exchange resulted DIRECTLY in Rich McGlynn personally contacting the head of investigations, with whom he directly corresponds, and being told that essentially Roe Lach (a) isn't and wasn't directly involved in the Cam flap, (b) doesn't like football and (c) has a chip on her shoulder. Very shortly thereafter, McGlynn, publicly and with permission from the University, the AD AND the NCAA, did his little post-war briefing.

Then again though, what use would it be for Thamel to write an article that actually portrays the Cam stuff as done? Thamel is OWNED. We all know this. He is a pocket journalist. Shamefully, the NYT allows him lattitude to pick at scabs because in reality they really don't care what he writes as long as it sells copy.

And anything negative about Auburn STILL sells copy.

AUBURN, not Bama, is the headline grabber in the SEC now and for the foreseeable future, for better or for worse.
