SPOTSYLVANIA, Va. – Police say a Virginia man found dead in his home was killed by his pit bull.

The Spotsylvania County Sheriff's Department says in a news release that an autopsy found indications of paw marks on the victim's body and defensive wounds on the fingers and hands.

Police say the body of 38-year-old David Quyon Haigler was found Saturday in his home by his 18-year-old son.

Sheriff's Lt. Col. Michael Timm tells The Free-Lance Star that the 6-year-old pit bull was roaming free in the house. Another 6-year-old pit bull was chained in another area of the residence.

Timm says both dogs are being held at the county animal shelter.

Five statements of WISDOM
1. You cannot legislate the poor into prosperity, by legislating the wealth out of prosperity.
2. What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving.
3. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else.
4. You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it.
5. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that my dear friends, is the beginning of the end of any nation.

Many fans of pitbulls will argue that it is not the dog, but the owners that cause them to be like this. Actually, it is not. These dogs were actually created and bred to do one thing: KILL. Hence the name "Pit Bull". They were bred to be pit fighters. It is in their blood to fight and be violent. They are built for it physically from their stance, height and even jaw muscles. Yes, many can be trained and raised to NOT be like this, but genetically they are very predisposed to have a short fuse and kill something in a short amount of time.

Went to this dog...whatever..thingy..at the beach a month ago.  It was a kind of festival to raise money for the Humane Society and they had a lot of stuff going on.  Anywho, everyone brought their dogs and there were several pit bulls there.  One guy had his pit close to us and it apparently wasn't happy with another dog walking by, so it went after the dog.  Luckily, the owner was paying attention and was able to brace himself while holding the leash because that was one hell of a violent, strong and downright scary attack.  Those are some bad, bad azz dogs.

I bought a boxer bulldog a couple of months ago for my new family dog.  I did a lot of checking on it to make sure that it wasn't anything like a pit bull before I decided to buy it as a family pet.  So far, we love him.

Be careful with him in the heat.  My neighbor's boxer had a heart attack last summer.  He was 8 years old, the vet said it was not uncommon for that breed.

You meet a man on the Oregon Trail. He tells you his name is Terry. You laugh and tell him: "That's a girl's name!" Terry shoots you. You have died of dissin' Terry.

Thanks for the heads up.  I will keep that in mind.

"Hey my friends are the ones that wanted to eat at that shitty hole in the wall that only served bread and wine.  What kind of brick and mud business model is that.  Stick to the cart if that's all you're going to serve.  Then that dude came in with like 12 other people, and some of them weren't even wearing shoes, and the restaurant sat them right across from us. It was gross, and they were all stinky and dirty.  Then dude starts talking about eating his body and drinking his blood...I almost lost it.  That's the last supper I'll ever have there, and I hope he dies a horrible death."

Ummm, has Jumbo inspected this dog yet?  What would be the ruling here, do you have to submit a new dog to Jumbo or just the one(s) you own when you join?

All dogs new or old must be presented to Jumbo in a timely fashion.  If not serious deductions in staff payroll will be made.

Those responsible will be sacked.
