I was talking to our IT director (old friend) this morning and we thought back to our early 20's at a time when Grandpa Jones was walking around a bar we liked to frequent, with a security t-shirt on and how he managed to bring people to the ground with ease. Dude had to have been 70 or he lived one rough life.

Of course he had one of these as an equalizer.

He hit me one night about 6 times in the liver/kidney region and I thought I was going to die. puked in the parking lot and pissed some blood the next morning. Jesus those things will kill a man!

For those of you who had your hearts set on hearing Flo Rida at the Gadsden Riverfest, he's canceled 2 days before the event, because of problems with his management company.

How shitty is your career when you cancel a shitty gig at a shitty event because of a dispute with your management company? Fucking pathetic, I say.

Oh well, he's been replaced by the headline band, Sugar Ray.

How shitty is your musical career when you are called last minute because Flo Rida pulled out? Yeesh.

On the plus side? I actually might attend this shitty event for the 1st time in 18 years to listen to Drivin' and Cryin'.

I wouldn't mind seeing Sugar Ray...or better yet, seeing them when they were somewhat relevant. They had a string of pretty good songs but what's funny is the songs that made it to mainstream radio really weren't of the same style SR normally played. They started out doing some pretty hard driving rock.

They used to put on a great show, but the last time I saw them was at Spinnaker in 1993.

As for Flo-Rida...the peoples won't be missing much anyway, except for the apple bottom jeans. And, the boots with the fur.
