NewsCore - A Wisconsin man plans to eat his 25,000th McDonalds Big Mac on Tuesday.

Don Gorske , 57, first fell in love with McDonalds' trademark double cheeseburger exactly 39 years ago, on May 17, 1972. Siince then, there are only eight days that he didn't eat at least one of the famous burgers.

"A person like me, I just don't change too much," Gorske told the local paper . "It's pretty much two Big Macs a day. When I can travel to sporting events, I like to take my Big Mac along."

Gorske was featured in the movie Super Size Me. That was 2,000 Big Macs ago, if you were counting. He also wrote a book in 2008 called 22,477 Big Macs .

He has eaten a Big mac in every Major League Baseball stadium and in all 48 contiguous states.

Gorske buys six Big Macs on Monday and eight on Thursday. He keeps a spare in his freezer in case of emergency and carries two Big Macs in his luggage when he travels.

Over the years, he has documented his Big Mac consumption by keeping a collection of every receipt and other memorabilia. His wife Mary, a nurse, has also borne witness to his quest. He met and proposed to Mary at a McDonald's in 1973.

Goske used to also eat fries with every burger but cut that part out of his diet in the 80s.

Gorske's habitual consumption of the burgers -- as well as his need to document his diet -- can be attributed in part to obsessive-compulsive disorder, which he has had since he was a child.

Gorske's health doesn't appear to be suffering as a result of his habit. On his last visit to the doctor in April, he was informed that his cholesterol level of 156 milligrams per deciliter was below that of the average male aged 50 and older, which is 208 milligrams per deciliter.

At the Fond du Lac, Wis., McDonalds where Gorske will mark his milestone, the first 300 customers will get Gorske buttons and free meal coupons, the paper said.

"I think 25,000 is a pretty awesome number," he said of the milestone. "I'll never live long enough to eat 50,000."

Everybody has some sort of illness or disorder nowadays, whether you know it or not, and there's a psychiatrist out there who will be happy to diagnose it and schedule follow-up treatments, as long as you have insurance...

At least he is trying cut back on some of the fat. Isn't a Big Mac vegan? Surely those two rolling papers of beef can't contribute that many calories.

I have a friend that has a masters in psychology working on his Ph.D that swears all humans are fucked up in the head, that some of us just know how to control our emotions and actions better than others.
