More evidence that it was always over?
« on: May 11, 2011, 03:17:34 PM »
Quote
Roe Lach said whether an athlete knows of someone else taking an extra benefit has never been a violation and was "the most misunderstood issue surrounding the Cam Newton case." Added Emmert: "There's no evidence money ever changed hands. It was just solicitation, an unsuccessful solicitation."

My doctor told me I needed to stop masturbating.  I asked him why, and he said, "because I'm trying to examine you."

The whole "if he knew" thing was (or should have been) in reference to the SEC Bylaw, which goes a step further than the NCAA Bylaw on the issue. At this point, it doesn't matter. What does matter is the NCAA is satisfied that Cam wasn't involved, and no cash changed hands. Nobody else's opinion matters, really.

I been tellin' them bammers...that the NCAA didn't hang it's hat on the "Cam didn't know" peg, but they won't hear it.

The NCAA concocted up a bullshit ruling on a non-violation because they had egg on their faces that they didn't have a rule to cover it.

The issue that is 99.9% of it...NO FUCKING MONEY CHANGED HANDS.  It was over then.  Throw in the fact that he didn't go to MSU, and Auburn had no hand in any of it...that mean Cam played, and Auburn was in the clear.  It's that simple.

The mullet hoard can keep on chirping about pimping to the highest bidder until they choke on a bag of dicks.  It matters not about any pimping, nor Cam knowing.

Who cares he's effing gone.

98.63% of your fanbase who still can't deal with reality.   Another 1.35% is currently either in a coma or suffering from amnesia.

These are the folks that, despite statements like this from Emmert, etc, despite the NCAA rulings, and despite not one shred of credible evidence that Auburn did a damn thing wrong, still call Auburn fans delusional if we dare to think we will get to keep the crystal football and that Cam will get to keep his Heisman.  We're going to get hammered because Cecil, Rogers, and Bell had a conversation about money in Starkville, and USC's decade long investigation on Bush is how they know.

Last week we had a consultant come in from Maryland to work with us on a few issues.  He saw my Auburn ID holder and immediately asked "well...how long do you think it will take before you guys have to give the trophy back?"
