  Bammer's clean!  Hey NCAA   :move:

Fucking shock there eh?

http://alabama.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=1210089

Quote
RUSSELLVILLE | The University of Alabama has found no violations in the recruitment of Russellville High School football signee Brent Calloway, and does not plan to file a report with the NCAA.

Sources with direct knowledge of the investigation told TideSports.com on Saturday no violations were uncovered in UA's inquiry into allegations of payments and other inducements to steer Calloway to sign with Alabama.

If only Auburn had moved that fast to clear Auburn in the Cam situation.

This might actually be a good thing.  When the NCAA gets in Monday and finds out Bammer cleared itself of allegations involving money changing hands in less than 48 hours, they might decide to make looking in to it a priority.

On the bright side, Auburn can clear itself of the HBO 4's allegations tomorrow.

The Bammer investigative team is a model of efficiency. They all met at Dreamland and it was concluded within an hour.

This is exactly what happened in the Gadsden rumors.

How many scholarship losses did Bama get with that scandal?  I can't seem to remember.

I hope the NCAA checks it out anyway. Even if they did clear us, you guys would just come up with some conspiracy theory about how the NCAA is part of the Bammer Machine anyway.

Actually, what was flimsy hearsay and rumor of violations now looks like bammer came in and covered up, or did nothing and generated a shame report of investigation clearing itself.  I think it might cause the NCAA to look a bit harder.  You can't possibly investigate financial/bank records in that short period of time...you can't even determine there's nothing to find.

Jeffrey Lee better damn well come out with something...that is if if he still can because bammer didn't bring hush money with them to Russelville.

Oh, and in typical bammer fashion, the innerwebs and airwaves are all making it out to be Lee making these allegations, not Lee reporting them.

Until Lee provides conclusive evidence and/or reveals his sources, he is only making the allegations and not reporting anything.

It's no different than Scott Moore.

No, Moore claimed to have something he didn't have, and said it contained evidence it obviously couldn't contain since it didn't exist.  Lee is saying "rumors are out there", "allegations have been made".  He's not making them...unless he's making that up, in that case, it's just like Scott Moore.

I hope he comes out with all kinds of "something". That would be great. Until then, he's no better than those "journalists" that you guys have spent countless posts trashing. I knew it wouldn't take long for the "If nothing happens, Bammer paid them" catchall. I'm sure we will pay off the NCAA too, so they won't investigate.

The NCAA probably doesn't like surprises. Unless Bama has missed a payment or failed to contact it's probation officer everything should be kosher. Just remember to pay your montly tithe and they won't have any problems turning a blind eye to a few boostered automobiles. Yall know the drill.

So, wait.....is Brooks a credible journalist now? Last I checked, SBB was a joke. Oh, that's only when they say something negative about AU. I forgot about that.

I hope Lee comes out with all kinds of proof about what he is saying. I hope the NCAA investigates it as well.

There are no reliable sources anymore. When is everybody gonna learn we are not dealing with credibility anymore. It is all innuendo, no facts just check your half-assed credentrials at the Waffle House. Will that be hash browns or grits?

Brookie is not a credible journalist, but for him to say that your school's investigation was bullshit, should tell ya something, especially with his apparent hatred towards all things Auburn.  That's the UGA coming out in his articles.   So, what will "real" journalist think?  Probably along the same lines as everyone else...bullshit.

Brooks already said the JLee allegations were mud because Woodruff wasn't considered a booster or an alumnus.

But then he says:

Quote
All due respect to TideSports.com, but its report about Russellville allegations, at least to me, raised more questions than answers. Key point: Jeff Lee never claimed the benefactor was a booster. Even with so-called pre-existing relationship, benefactor cannot steer recruits to particular school.

Quote
A non-booster may not do what the "supporter" in this case was accused of, which included offering to pay the recruit once he'd enrolled at Alabama as an enticement to sign with the school.

He also said:

Quote
I recognize that TideSports.com did not cite Alabama's specific findings from its investigation, but also hard to believe Bama could indisputably verify pre-existing relationship in a single day. Again, we don't know Alabama's findings, but TideSports.com report gave no insight into how Bama came to its conclusion. Quotes from benefactor not enough.

Quote
Though Bama appeared to be proactive in this case, which is significant because of how NCAA judges cases, the TideSports.com report only gave more credence to the Russellville allegations. At least from a media perspective. And the media, in the context of NCAA investigations, is most important.

Brooks isn't exactly reporting anything.  He's just thinking out loud using his blog as his medium.
