Finebaum hilarious today
« on: April 08, 2011, 05:15:09 PM »
Finally confirmed that nothing is going to come of the Mcgregor, Colonial, Lowder thing.

Finebaum -- who never SAYS anything -- broke tradition and flat out said it: nothing there.

That hasn't stemmed the flow of Auburngate callers who begin each call with fhe words "but PAWWWL"

Ha.

About to get my daily 10 minute dose in when I leave work in a few.  If Pawwwl said that, do you have any idea how many Mullet dicks went flaccid this afternoon?  Daammmnn Paawwwwll...don't tail me that.

In addition, do you have any idea how many husbands and boyfriends are gonna have to go upside Sally's head?

My doctor told me I needed to stop masturbating.  I asked him why, and he said, "because I'm trying to examine you."

Donald Jackson also caused bammers to blow a gasket with his statement that there's never been an admission by Cecil to soliciting money, and that's not what the NCAA's ruling says.  I had to go back, but as you might expect the reports that he admitted to it are....."a source close to the situation says Cecil admits to talks about money".  Jackson says no evidence made public, an no admission Cecil was actively soliciting money.   Sort of bolsters my argument that Rogers was the culprit all along.

Also he and Jackson said the Forbes article trying to link the Taylor Bean trial to Auburn was pure garbage and a major stretch.

Bingo.  Here's the thing.  By saying that Cecil was "shopping his son around", which is phrase that EVERYBODY loves to use, the logical assumption is that AU was the highest bidder.  But...didn't OU recruit him hard?  Didn't he sign once with Florida?  Why is there no evidence of ANY sort that either of those schools were bidding/paying?  Well?  Wasn't he shopping him around?  The fact of the matter is that Rogers thought he had the connections to score he and Big Fig Newton some Christmas $$$ from MSU.  He had no connections any other place.  I guaranfrickintee you Cam Newton wasn't all too thrilled about being the #1 Juco guy coming out and playing at MSU.  Who the hell would be?

The genesis of the notion that Auburn paid starts with: "Cecil was shopping Cam to the highest bidder" followed by the "logical assumption" that wherever he signed had to have been the highest bidder that paid.  Lots of huge gaps in that line of logic that can only be bridged with wild assumptions.

The notion that Kenny Rogers actions started all this, AND that those actions spooked Cecil away from State is just as logical an assumption, but bammers laugh at such "delusional Auburn thiking" uproariously, and then cite all the things that were supposedly said by Cecil and Cam that everybody had on tapes that have never been produced.
