I posted the Patrick Peterson story on another site poke at some LSU fans there, and a couple of others who are fans of other teams.  The site isn't a football or sports site...these are some responses from LSU fans to my post entitled "LSU bought Patrick Peterson for $80K plus...sound familiar?: 

Oh, it's a "fact"? I see from your thread title it is a fact. Can you help me with what a far reaching assumption might be?
If LSU 'paid' for Petersen, I'll be the first one calling for head's to roll, I can promise you that. Right now we have one guy making an accusation about someone asking for money for Petersen to play at TEXAS A&M (that just happened to lose to LSU in their bowl game) and somehow that translates into a fact that LSU paid for Petersen? Ok...

Amen. Doesn't mean LSU paid a thing. That accusation has not even been made yet.

It's quite possible that the SOB Lyles got told no by everyone and the kid went to play at the best school he could.

You need to worry about the Lowder led Awbarn football pgm and not worry about what opposing teams have been accused of . You know the guy that brought in Petrino on his private jet behind Tubervilles back, the \ Auburn Football mastermind . You know the guy that the FBI is about to throw a book at for Bank Fraud.

I did point that out.  As was also pointed out in the other Peterson thread though, the LA media won't let or cause the wild accusations and assumptions to get out of hand.  This will play out much more quietly than Cam's case because the LA media will be united in this cause.  My guess is, it will die a very quiet death.

Yup, thanks to the bammer media the Cam story, which was started by the bammers, kept fanning the flames in hopes of catch Auburn on fire and to redirect the NCAA's attention from their own program.
