I am honestly shocked that the Suckasstros rallied in the bottom of the 9th when they tried SO DAMN HARD to piss it away in the top of the 9th... Carl went on to bed after the Deadbirds scored, figuring it was a waste of time to sit up and watch.

I must apologize for my absence...I can't get control of my life right now. Responsibilty and all that.

But I must say that if the Braves can fire on all cylinders, then they can compete with anybody. Their pitching is rock solid, from the starters to the closers. It's just a matter of how much run support they can get. The bats go through periods of being ice cold to red hot.

Additionally, Freddie Gonzalez is not near as sexy as Bobby Cox.

Been watching the last few nights. The double header was fun. I believe 12 hits and 8 runs in both games. No reason this team should not consistently hit well but a lot of these guys have gotten off to really slow starts. Two things stood out last night. Venters and Kimbrel have incredibly live arms. I would not want to stand in against either one. Second, Freddie Gonzales must have read Bobby Cox' book. 7th inning, one run game, leadoff hitter gets on, Nate McClouth at the dish, 3-1 count.....McClouth swings away and pops up. BUNT THE DAMN GUY OVER, BOBBY....I mean Freddie.
