Another man charged in robbery, assault

A third man has been charged with the September robbery and assault of a man at a Marshall Street mobile home park, Gadsden Police Capt. Regina May said.

Timothy Marc Barton, 22, was arrested late Tuesday and charged with first-degree robbery and second-degree assault.

The attack happened about 3 p.m. Sept. 24 after a man gave a ride to an acquaintance who lives in the park. The man was asked inside the home and, once inside, someone pulled a knife on him and a group of people started digging in his pants pocket. He then was beaten, stripped of his clothes and robbed of cash and medication.

He was cleaned up, given some pajamas and released with a warning not to call police, May said.

GADSDEN, AL (WBRC) -
The Gadsden Police Department says they have charged a man with 2nd degree domestic violence.

According to officers, Timothy Mark Barton pushed his girlfriend, Rachel Gilmore, out of a moving vehicle during an argument on South 11th Street near Black Creek Parkway on October 31. They say Barton then forced her back into the vehicle and drove into the woods at the dead end of New York Avenue in an attempt to hide.

The victim was able to call 911 and receive treatment for her injuries at the scene.

Barton was located later in a house in the 2800 block of Marshall Street. He is currently being held in the Etowah County Jail on a $25,000 cash bond.

HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF)- A burglar made off with over $2,000 worth of
Crimson Tide merchandise from a Huntsville department store Tuesday morning.

It happened after 4 a.m. at the Stein Mart on
Airport Road. A witness heard the store's alarm sounding and saw a person
coming out of a broken-out front door carrying items.

The witness saw the burglar running toward
Queensbury Drive. Officers set up a perimeter but were unable to locate the
suspect.

Store officials reported the loss of the
Alabama team Polos and other clothing items.

The case remains under investigation

GUNTERSVILLE, AL (WAFF)- Guntersville police arrested a man after
discovering five pounds of marijuana at his home.

Police served a search warrant at a home on
the 3600 block of Smith Street Thursday afternoon. Investigators found five
pounds of pot and other drug paraphernalia.

27-year-old Joshua Kent Anderson resisted
arrest as they attempted to put him in a patrol car.

Anderson was charged with trafficking,
possession of drug paraphernalia and resisting arrest.

Bond was set at $500,000.
