The only things I've noticed is the "HDR" feature in the camera, which supposedly takes better pictures, the "Game Center", which is basically like OpenFeint, as you can see from above, just a bunch of better performance.
It's usually not worth the hassle, but I always feel like if there's as clean-cut of a jailbreak release as this one, go for it.
Just back up your iPod, download the new IOS, restore all the Appstore stuff, then jailbreak with greenpois0n.
I made an attempt to backup my cydia apps with AptBackup, but it didn't work for me. Another buddy of mine said he did it and it worked fine for him, so I might have used it wrong. Either way, it's not the end of the world to go out there and redownload some of that cydia software.
I can't state enough that Install0us 4 is completely awesome, and a dramatic improvement over the 2x. version I was using before.
