Here's one that I caught 3 miles out.  He was about 6 foot.  Uncle Sani caught one with me as well, he was much smaller....the shark that is.

Primary problem here is that when in a boat I just want to drink beer. 
I hit my groove more so when we anchored and the whores came out.

Is there a particular reason you use florescent green over let's say...pink?  When side drifting for salmon and steel-head we'll use high-vis line (such as florescent pink or green) to mark our line location as we drift down the river.  We'll attach a fluorocarbon leader to the high-vis line for presenting the bait as natural as can be to the fish.

Does the florescent green = 50 lb line then in your case?...florescent pink = 30lb line?  In other words are you picking colors to represent different # test line to easily keep track of?

Well ordinarily I use wire leader line.  Most sailfish\wahoo\kingfish will easily cut through fluorocarbon line.  I usually use the fluorocarbon line while drift fishing shallower waters.  Looking for snapper and grouper. 

This particular time we didn't have the fluorocarbon so I used what I had.   Funny thing was this Shark which we brought all the way up to the boat (probably took an hour)  thrashed his head like 3 times when he saw the boat and broke the line.  Probably 5 secs after I took the picture. He doesn't look as big as he was in the picture.

Pencil me in...but keep the eraser handy.  Like Mark, that's something I've always talked about but never done.  I've done Marlin/Sailfishing and various other types but never shark fishing.
