Thank you, my dear. Seriously, it seems to me that he was trying to win over the crowd with some zealotry and offend all the mommas with multiple baby daddys all at the same time. The whole thing was a disaster.
I have no problem with a politician being any religion, as long as he does not represent his constituency based solely on his own personal beliefs. "My constituency is overwhelmingly pro-choice, but since I am a pro-life Catholic, that will dictate how I vote, even if it does not reflect the values of the people that elected me to this office." THAT is what makes me crazy(-er). People elect you to represent them - not make choices for them without giving at least lip service to their input.
So he can worship the Flying Spaghetti God all he wants, but if he uses that belief as the basis for banning the preparation and consumption of lasagne, I will take umbrage.
