i've yet to pick up this SI, but the title of the article reminds me of my bathroom visit in a bar @ westgate (near U of P Stadium)...

the bathroom attendant looks at my tigers X duck hunt t-shirt and says, "you know you guys are going to win". 

i respond, "please tell me why you know this"?

he says, "every team that stays at the scottsdale plaza wins...and that is where the auburn team is staying".

i tipped him an abe lincoln. 

perhaps, i have misquoted the name of the hotel.  plus, i don't know were the team stayed.

...also,

@ PDX...just moments before i hand my boarding pass and i.d. to the TSA officer they switch personnel.  i give it to the new gal...she signs her initials "JH" in orange.
