Alabama legislators, other officials permitted to buy BCS football tickets at face value 8:45 a.m. CST, January 6, 2011MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) — An Auburn University spokesman says up to 15 Alabama legislators and state officials were permitted to buy tickets at face value to Monday's national championship foootball game in Glendale, Ariz.Auburn spokesman Mike Clardy said Wednesday that he doesn't have a list of the names those who purchased BCS tickets because the school's office of governmental affairs doesn't handle ticket deliveries.Clardy says the tickets will be picked up at the site of the game between Auburn and Oregon in Glendale, Ariz.He says his office did not offer the opportunity to purchase tickets for state leaders who inquired but facilitated the purchase through Auburn's Athletics Department. Some 26 legislators were given a chance to buy tickets at face value to the Southeastern Conference championship game on Dec. 4.
If they then sold them for MORE than face value, they should go to jail.
Using public office for personal gain was what this country was founded on...if you listen to those in power today. Of course, Washington went back to farming, even though the public tried to make him king...
Who is this Washington guy you speak of? Denzel?
nah. This one owned Denzel's folks.
I have it on good authority that they weren't doing shit anyway.
