It would have been better if he did. Almost crapped my pants. I admit to being a wrasslin' fan since I was a kid. They used to film it in Montgomery at old WKAB studios. My moms would drop me and a friend off there even when we were about 11 or 12. That was before you worried about your kid's picture winding up on a milk carton. We'd watch the good ole boys of wrasslin'...Mr. Wrestling #2, Jimmy Golden, Robert and Ron Fuller and don't forget....Bullet Bob Armstrong.
While I was at Auburn, we'd get a group up on Wednesday nights and head over to Columbus for some WCW action...then off to Vicotry Drive for some strip club action. I was all about high class entertainment while on Teh Planes.
Being from East Alabama/Columbus, GA area, my old man used to take me down to the old Cols Municipal Auditorium to see the Fred Ward Productions rasslin matches back in the 80's. Chick Donavan, Mr Wrestling, Tommy Rich, Michael PS Hayes, Flair, Steamboat, Ole and Arn - they used to have all the good ones at the "Barn" on Victory Drive as we called it. Good times......
Snaggle - that was back when Cols had GOOD strip clubs -when they could show the cooter and all. Now-its just underwear and pasties....has been for 10years. No thanks - I'll take a Victoria's Secret catalog if thats all I'm gonna get to see.
To me Bruno Sammartino will always be the king. Although Bret Hart, Stu Hart, Sean Michaels, Verne Gagne and Fritz Von Erich were all very good technical rasslers as well.
