Sizing up the SEC regular season

http://espn.go.com/blog/sec/po...-regular-season

Let’s take a closer look at who did what in the SEC this season, starting with wins against teams currently ranked in the top 25 of the BCS standings.

If you doubted for a second how down the East was this season, notice that the East managed just two wins against top 25 BCS teams. South Carolina beat Alabama, and Kentucky beat South Carolina. Yep, that means Florida and Georgia were shut out.

Here are the numbers for all 12 teams:

    * Auburn – 5 (Alabama, Arkansas, LSU, Mississippi State and South Carolina)
    * Arkansas – 4 (LSU, Mississippi State, South Carolina and Texas A&M)
    * LSU – 3 (Alabama, Mississippi State and West Virginia)
    * Alabama – 2 (Arkansas and Mississippi State)
    * South Carolina – 1 (Alabama)
    * Kentucky – 1 (South Carolina)
    * Florida – 0
    * Georgia – 0
    * Mississippi State – 0
    * Ole Miss – 0
    * Tennessee – 0
    * Vanderbilt – 0

Here’s a look at how all 12 SEC teams fared against nationally ranked teams at the time of the game:

    * Auburn: 4-0 (1.000)
    * LSU: 4-2 (.666)
    * Arkansas: 3-2 (.600)
    * South Carolina: 3-2 (.600)
    * Alabama: 4-3 (.571)
    * Kentucky: 1-3 (.250)
    * Mississippi State: 1-5 (.200)
    * Florida: 0-4 (.000)
    * Georgia: 0-3 (.000)
    * Ole Miss: 0-5 (.000)
    * Tennessee: 0-5 (.000)
    * Vanderbilt: 0-3 (.000)

Next, we take a look at the combined records of the opponents SEC teams beat this season.

Auburn and LSU led the way, each with five wins over FBS teams with winning records.

On the other end of the spectrum, Georgia, Tennessee and Vanderbilt didn’t win a game this season against an FBS team with a winning record.

Here’s the breakdown :

    * Auburn: 83-60 (.580)
    * Arkansas: 64-55 (.538)
    * Florida: 44-38 (.537)
    * LSU: 62-56 (.525)
    * South Carolina: 55-51 (.519)
    * Alabama: 52-55 (.486)
    * Ole Miss: 20-27 (.426)
    * Mississippi State: 38-57 (.400)
    * Georgia: 24-47 (.338)
    * Kentucky: 23-48 (.324)
    * Tennessee: 23-48 (.324)
    * Vanderbilt: 6-18 (.250)

Finally, who did what away from home?

Here are those records:

    * Auburn: 4-0 (1.000)
    * Arkansas: 4-1 (.800)
    * Alabama: 3-2 (800)
    * Florida: 3-2 (.600)
    * LSU: 3-2 (.600)
    * Mississippi State: 3-2 (.600)
    * South Carolina: 3-2 (.600)
    * Tennessee: 2-3 (.400)
    * Kentucky: 1-4 (.200)
    * Ole Miss: 1-4 (.200)
    * Vanderbilt: 1-4 (.200)
    * Georgia: 1-5 (.167)

"Hey my friends are the ones that wanted to eat at that shitty hole in the wall that only served bread and wine.  What kind of brick and mud business model is that.  Stick to the cart if that's all you're going to serve.  Then that dude came in with like 12 other people, and some of them weren't even wearing shoes, and the restaurant sat them right across from us. It was gross, and they were all stinky and dirty.  Then dude starts talking about eating his body and drinking his blood...I almost lost it.  That's the last supper I'll ever have there, and I hope he dies a horrible death."

I heard a stat listening to pre-game before the Alabama game that Miss. St, Arkansas, LSU, Auburn and Alabama were 35-1 against teams NOT in the SEC west. The only loss for any of those teams was Alabama getting beat by USC.

Fucking WOW!
