What if...

What if...
« on: November 27, 2010, 05:49:45 PM »
TCU is up 31-17 against New Mexico at halftime.  TCU's quarterback is out, and New Mexico is actually scoring against TCU's defense.

Oregon has to travel to Oregon St next for a rivalry game.

Boise State lost last night.

If LSU beats Arkansas, at least judging the way voters have voted in the past, shouldn't we expect them to jump up to #2?

Stanford won't be the PAC 10 champ, so maybe they'd jump LSU.  There wouldn't be any rationale behind that besides keeping the SEC from having two members in the BCSCG.

Wisconsin might jump ahead of Stanford since Wisconsin would have the Big 10 title.

AU vs. LSU in Glendale?

TCU is going to Pasadena to get absolutely crushed by that Wisconsin grinder. The BCS will not take a rematch in Glendale. If Oregon falls, they get the Rose Bowl which would IMO elevate the Badgers to the NC Game. And this is the best Stanford team I've ever seen.

I agree, the voters are not gonna vote LSU high enough to be in the NC game with Auburn. It would make for a crazy scenario.

As it stands now, with 7:55 left...Ark is salting it away, up by 8 and inside the 10 pushing LSU around by running the ball, this "what if" isn't going to last long.

Now up by 11. LSU is sucking wind and Davis is having his way.

Bigger what if...what if this LSU loss means the SEC only gets one BCS bowl bid...If Auburn wins Saturday, that means the SECC goes to the BCSCG, and that leaves the Sugar Bowl open to select an at large team to fill that slot.   Ark is thinking they're a lock if they win today...I don't know how it all works.  They may not be a top 10 team even after a win, but probably will be.
