Storms/Tornados in Atlanta affect SEC Tourney
« on: March 15, 2008, 09:37:12 AM »
Ya'll probably heard about this, but there was some crazy shit going down around the Georgia Dome last night.  They're moving the game to Georgia Tech's arena and the only people there will be families, cheerleaders, the press, and the school's band.  No damage to my neighborhood, but downtown got hammered!

I was watching when all that started happening.  It was crazy to see the rafters and scoreboard swaying.  Hell, I would rather be in the Georgia Dome than just about anywhere else during a tornado.

I imagine that was some scary shit to see the scoreboard and catwalks and stuff swaying above your head.  I'd be like, "I'mhungryanyonewantanythingseeya".

My doctor told me I needed to stop masturbating.  I asked him why, and he said, "because I'm trying to examine you."

Personally, I thought it was a perfect time for someone to rush the floor and give Gottfried a Stone Cold Stunner.

Ironic that the SEC tournament will be played on the campus of a school that basically said  :fu: four decades ago because they fancied themselves the Notre Damn of the south.

I suppose taking it out to the Arena at Gwinnett Center would have been too far to go - although bigger than Tech's gym, Gwinnett's 13,000 seats are still only half what they sold at the Dome.

I had another thought about this crazy tournament set-up - even with only allowing family, chearleaders, and pep bands in to GT's gym, the SEC basketball championship will probably have a larger attendance than the last ACC football championship

I flipped on the news and saw the footage of the storm damage.  I couldn't tell a difference between downtown before and after.

just sayin'.

"Hey my friends are the ones that wanted to eat at that shitty hole in the wall that only served bread and wine.  What kind of brick and mud business model is that.  Stick to the cart if that's all you're going to serve.  Then that dude came in with like 12 other people, and some of them weren't even wearing shoes, and the restaurant sat them right across from us. It was gross, and they were all stinky and dirty.  Then dude starts talking about eating his body and drinking his blood...I almost lost it.  That's the last supper I'll ever have there, and I hope he dies a horrible death."

Channel 13's sportscaster blamed Bama's loss on the storm.  He said "the storm messed up bama's mojo", I guess Miss St just got lucky.   :super:
