The rigged bingo machine saga at Victoryland came about as a result of a subpoena filed in a legal matter pending in Green County regarding Greentrack. That subpoena requested the income tax records of Larry Langford. The attorneys handling the case against Greentrack had information that the rigging was going on big time at Victoryland. However, every time they tried to pursue it in another case they had in Macon County, Milty's attorneys objected. By the way, it is not easy to get tax returns produced in civil litigation. So, the attorneys subpoenad the records in the Greentrack case and, low and behold, nobody objected. When the records were produced to the attorneys, they demonstrated that Langford had won over 500 jackpots exceeding $1200 each. You see, any jackpot less than $1200 does not automatically generate a federal withhold W2G. There were over 500 attached to Langford's returns and over 40 at Greentrack in a 2-3 year period!!!!! Again, Greentrack didn't know that the records had been produced because its attorney missed the subpoena.
Well, Greentrack filed a motion to dismiss the case in Greene COunty, saying there was no proof of any rigging and that the case was frivilous. The motion was set for hearing on the very Tuesday of the vote in Montgomery regarding legalizing bingo. To oppose the motion, the attorneys filed an objection with the Court and attached copies of the returns, including the 500+ W2G's. That is when the sh--hit the fan. Somehow, the Birmingham News learned of the filing and went and got copies. That Sunday, again, the Sunday before the Tuesday Montgomery bingo vote and hearing, ran a huge story. You may remember it. It became toxic to Milton's chance of getting bingo legalized.
Now, so what does this have to do with AU? Let's say this. I know for an absolute solid fact that they (Feds) know the person (a female employee) at Victoryland who ushered Langford around to particular machines. They know other public officials that were involved as well who were very lucky at bingo. They know the name of the guy that wrote the program that runs the machines. In my learned opinion, MM has testified before a grand jury already about the rigging. That was some time ago, and before any Camgate. So, I do not have an opinion as to whether that was the subject of any questions. THEY KNOW IT ALL AND I MEAN ALL! FYI, the indictment of bingo mentions that fact that MM was too stupid or arrogant to even change his phone -been using the same number for years and the Feds been listening for a while.
Now, a question might be why Langford or Milton were not prosecuted for this. First, for Langford, they knew they had him dead to rights on the Blount LaPiere (sp) bribe. After all, he was convicted of everything he was charged with after only a 2 hour jury deliberation. They had him dead and, truly, they only wanted about 5-6 years from him. He did not plead and got about 15. For Milty, they have hime dead on 24 counts of writing a check (bribe) to the guy that literally puts pen to paper and writes the legislation and who was writing bingo legislation. They have him, dead. So, in each case, no need to try to prove a bribe with bingo winnings, games of chance, statisticians, etc. In other words, Feds don't like making Scrushy mistakes -trying to convict on everything in the kitchen sink. Additionally, it is not true at all that the US Att. office has unlimited resources. It just isn't that way at all.
Now, you are welcome to check out this story by looking at the records in Green County yourself; reading old B'ham news; etc. Its all there. Now, it is worth repeating, when I say the Fed knows all, i mean all, including what might be of interest to fans of college football. The feds know it either by the W2G's or phone tap. Honestly, I am not sure which. It may be both. If they haven't looked at W2G's, they will. If they don't, the NCAA needs to.
Now, what does all of this mean. Quite honestly, it may not mean jack. I ain't the FED or NCAA. But, it is a guaranteed, undeniable fact that: 1.) MM is a major AU booster; 2.) he is arrogant with his mouth to the point of stupidity; 3.) he has rigged machines loaded with $ for politicians; 4.) these machines are about 20 miles from Pat Dye Field atordan Hare Stadium; and 5.) the boys been listening!"

This is actually a little more than a rumor, and if it’s true, they might as well give up football at the Central Alabama School of Animal Husbandry. Everybody kept asking how the FBI was involved, well that question has been answered. The FBI has just busted up an illegal gambling ring in the state of Alabama. In the course of that investigation, the FBI had wire taps on a bunch of phones. Apparently, one of the guys, named Milton MacGregor (Auburn alum and big booster) made some calls where he was arranging the money for Newton, and also for Dyer. Now he, along with about 10 other guys are in federal custody, and the information from the FBI has been turned over to the NCAA.
This implicates Auburn in the whole thing. Look for the SEC and the NCAA to remain mum on the mess until after the season, but Auburn is looking at being placed in a persistent vegetative state for a very long time.
Also, our buddy Nick Fairley apparently had 7 grades changed while he was in high school, and his transcript miraculously survived the NCAA clearing house. (Regardless of the FACT that Fairley went to JUCO, but whatever)
Well, we knew how this was going to go when Chizik hired Trooper “Bagman†Taylor. I always had a grudging respect for Auburn, but they are now officially at the top of the hate list.
