All the major, the professional sports, NEWS outlets are saying there's no evidence that Auburn had any contact with Rogers, and there's no evidence that anything took place between the Newtons, Cam or Cecil, that would indicate Rogers was acting on their orders, or that any money changed hands...EVER.
Is it not completely plausible that Rogers, an MSU Alum and all around sleaze ball, acted on his own after some cursory contact, or maybe no contact at all with the Newtons. That Rogers decided that he'd like to purchase Cam for his alma mater, and approached a Booster he thought might be willing and able. That Rogers decided to help State, and profit in the process all on his own, thinking that after this booster agreed, he'd go to Cecil and tell them "I got you some money for Cam?" That Bond got wind of it, and, surprisingly, did the right thing and reported it. AND, that Cecil made his decision for Auburn or against State because of this, or in part because of this, to avoid any appearance of impropriety, and that it all ends there? That all else beyond that is pure speculation and supposition? That it, in fact, did happen that way, and that Auburn, the SEC, and NCAA have no evidence of anything beyond that, and thus Auburn's confidence in playing Cam?
Is there anything about that far fetched? Would it not explain it all, and why there is no evidence otherwise?
