He is 107 yards shy of having the most rushing yards in Auburn History by a freshman (Bo Jackson 829yds)...The way that the Auburn coaches are using Dyer is the way it should always be if you have the resources, that's to gradually bring the player along, that way, by the time he gets a feel for the game it'll be about half way through the season and he'll be running on fresh legs.
BTW, who was it that said Dyer didn't have break away speed because he had thick legs? Yeah, whomever it was needs to go back and watch that 30 yard TD run.
Dyer could end up with over 1000 yards rushing. That would be another Auburn record, two 1000 yard rushers in the same season.
