Speaking of fail....the flyover this week was epic in the fail category. Missed the timing...and the stadium. Half the people in there didn't see it until it turned right well past the stadium.
I hate to disparage military, but this fucking happened. It was, IIRC, the 2004 UGA game, and we had a flyover. Late in the fist Q three guys in flight suits showed up to sit 2 rows back of us. Usual talk as it would be to military, "thanks for your service" "great show in the flyover" "that flyover was really cool" "those jets are bad ass"....they all grinned and accepted the praise. At half they had the pilots from the flyover on the field to acknowledge them, 3 of the 4 being AU alum. These guys were still sitting in their seats there...getting some very sad looks of disappointment from folks that had told them how great their flyover was. The left pretty quickly afterward.
