ITT: Out of touch old men that don't get satire.
Facepalming at Congress...ok.
Facepalming at him for playing them like a fiddle, when that's his shtick...
I facepalm your facepalm.
As he pointed out, in 2002, the Republicans invited Elmo testify for music education.
...
Satire? Hmm. And here I was thinking that his 'humor' was slapstick. Thanks for taking valuable time out from watching The View, Oprah, Joy Behar, Rachel Maddow, and Comedy Central to clear that up for me.
I just don't know how on earth I'd get along without your enlightenment in the Xosphere.
Far be it from me to alienate you by criticizing one of your favorite "Commentators". I'm sorry to have hurt your feelings.
I think you'll note that topic heading aside my criticism was directed primarily at the Congressional Leadership for allowing this lunacy to go on; perhaps if the X had been around in 2002 I'd have been just as critical on the board then of the Republipukes for doing the same thing with Elmo; but, for the record...it was just as silly. They're all a bunch of clowns for demeaning the seriousness of their duty and office by pulling these stunts.
And as for Colbert, he should have been gentleman enough to turn down this type of ridiculous request from the Congressional moon bats...but, then again, he's a moon bat himself...and so is John Stewart. (Oops, did I just insult another one of your Fav commentators? Golly gee...guess I just don't 'get' his shtick either...)
Facepalm back atcha buddy.
