Arky up 17-7 at the half.

-- Arky has 12 yards rushing on 11 carries.
-- When UGA has put pressure on Mallet, he's looked average at best.  Without pressure, he's a Heisman winner.
-- Arky plays a team who can pressure on every play, they'll get beat.  Bad.

-- UGA is not a good football team right now.
-- Richt might get canned after this season.  They are THAT bad.
-- Can't tell that UGA has ranked in the top 10 consistently for the last 5+ years in recruiting.

Yes, Georgia's D is abysmal zone or no zone.

Georgia pulls to within 7 making it 24-17 with 9 minutes left in the 4th.  Arkansas has no running game so they can't put together a time consuming drive, but they can damn sure hit the deep ball a few more times to win by double digits.

I still say, neither team looks overly impressive to me.  BUT, Arkansas plays a team that can't put pressure on Mallet and he'll pick any team apart.

And Arkansas players are a bunch of pussies when a big play is made against them.  ANOTHER unsportsmanlike with 5 left in the game.  Georgia getting the ball back with good field position.

Mallet makes a statement, but against a very suspect D.  Still, he answered when he had to.  Neither of these teams looks great, or has any D to speak of.

He did.  And Arkansas won on the road.  BUT, I still see the same Mallet as last year.  Put pressure on him and he folds.  Get after him every play and he doesn't make good decisions.

He may come out next week and light Bama up.  But as of right now, I'm still not impressed with Arkansas.

Not if Bama comes out grounding them up as with albeit suspect Penn State D. Alabama will make him beat them. And they can cover.

I saw him look spotty at times even without pressure.  Still, when it was crunch time, he answered on the road.

Bottom line with this game, and the Ole Miss/Vandy game....I see Auburn with 3 potential wins vs serious SEC opponents.  Mallet will give us trouble, but our offense should score against their D.   Still, they're beatable.

Agreed, but only if the AU D keeps progressing and I don't like the offense breaking pace to appease the defense idea. Of course I'm no insider, but I don't think you monkey with success. Let the D fend for itself, just see to it that you give them the best field possible to play with. And right now I don't see us stopping others cold for several series in a row and until we find a way, outscoring them is our best play.
