Barkley says he took money in college

Fox Sports

Charles Barkley is nothing if not candid and the outspoken NBA star turned TV talking head weighed in on two of the week's hot-button topics as only he can on a radio show Friday morning.

First, he weighed in on New Orleans Saints RB Reggie Bush relinquishing his Heisman in the wake of reports he took money from an agent while at USC.

"I got money from agents when I was in college. Most of the players I know borrow money from agents," Barkley told Dan Patrick on his radio show.

He said he borrowed from two or three agents and got "Like chump change. Just walk around money." Adding "I paid them back when I went to the NBA."

"Let me tell you something, these agents are well known, and they've been giving kids money for 30 years, and I have no problem with it. Borrowing money from an agent ain't the same as a college paying you."

And on the Ines Saintz/New York Jets locker room scandal, he was far more succinct in his analysis.

"I gotta tell you something. When I watch TV now I feel bad for ugly women. Because if you are an ugly woman you got no chance of getting on TV now, especially in the sporting culture."

This guy has no sense whatsoever. Its not NBA season, so he has too much time on his hands.

His mouf's eligibility ran out about 10 years ago. I remember him saying not too awful long ago that he never took money while at Auburn.

The problem with Barkley is that he really isn't a black dude - he's whiter than Larry Bird. He's just so full of shit that his skin is brown.

He misses the headlines.
Yall need to cut his head off pronto and let him go eye to eye with Ted Williams. Or maybe Bo can pay him a visit and line his ass out.
Or, maybe this was a ploy to help advance his oft rumored political foray. Look at me, I've been a cheater for years and never got caught. Oops.

You make a great point. "Look at me, I cheated" sounds dumb as hell. Makes you think he is like OCD or something. Maybe Bo can go over to his house and whip his ass three times exactly the same every time.
