Earl...First Bad Azz Of The Season
« on: September 01, 2010, 01:29:14 PM »
Anyone going to be affected by this storm?  Thank God it doesn't look like a direct hit will happen but right now, it's not far off and packing 125 m.p.h. winds.  That's Katrina strong.

My doctor told me I needed to stop masturbating.  I asked him why, and he said, "because I'm trying to examine you."

As long as Earl follows the projected path everything should be fine with me. If Earl takes a Westward turn he might fuck
up my weekend in Charleston.

125, while strong, isn't a particularly devastating storm.

The Katrina problems were mostly due to the unique geography of NO and the failure of the levees.

Katrina was 125 when it hit Biloxi. Saw a report on Biloxi last week as part of the 5 year anniversary thing.  90%+ of the structures in that city were either completely wiped out or severely damaged

Gaston is actually giving me a teeny bit of a twinge of concern right now...  starting so far south gives him lots of opportunity for a jog west...

Earl and Fiona aren't a problem here in S. Florida, to early to tell about Gaston.  Haven't had to get the shutters out in a couple years, hopefully won't have to this year either.

"Hey my friends are the ones that wanted to eat at that shitty hole in the wall that only served bread and wine.  What kind of brick and mud business model is that.  Stick to the cart if that's all you're going to serve.  Then that dude came in with like 12 other people, and some of them weren't even wearing shoes, and the restaurant sat them right across from us. It was gross, and they were all stinky and dirty.  Then dude starts talking about eating his body and drinking his blood...I almost lost it.  That's the last supper I'll ever have there, and I hope he dies a horrible death."

Like building a city of 1 million in a bowl below sea level between the ocean and Lake Pontchartrain?

Yeah - bad things man......that was just waiting on a disaster.

Add to that an inept mayor, a venal governor, and self-interested city officials who are corrupt as the day is long....
