With a substantially torn ACL.

He was really heating up too.  This probably ends his baseball career; it'll be hard to come back from this at 38 years of age.  Luckily, the Bravos can fill in with Prado, Conrad, and Infante.

Shut the fuck up.  Out for the season?  Damn it to hell.

The only silver lining, well not really a silver lining, is that the play he goes out on was one of the better plays I've ever seen the guy make.  Unreal jump and throw for a strike.

Agreed.  He was also seeing the ball at the plate better then he ever has in the last two years.

You know, at the first of the season, I thought he was finished, not so much because of his numbers, but more because he looked slow at the plate and almost disinterested.  His stance didn't look aggressive at all and his expression always seemed to look like he was fed up with all of it.  I guess a change in attitude is bound to accompany success, but he's been looking like his old self, both at the plate and his demeanor.  The guy used to look downright cocky.

On another note, did you catch any of the Glavine banquet/tribute?  TG got up and was talking about Bobby Cox and what all he meant and how he handled things.  He said if you didn't do it his way and act like a professional in every sense of the word, he'd see that you were shipped off.  He followed that by saying, "We've already seen that this year."  Everyone cracked up because no doubt he was referring to Yunell.

Personally, I put Omar at 3rd and leave Prado at 2nd.  Our infield play has really gone to shit since Prado went down.  I'd also have a sit down with Heyward and tell him he was either going to bat 3rd or 6th.  His choice.

3B. Infante
2B. Prado
RF. Heyward
C. McCann
SS. Gonzalez
1B. Glaus
LF. Cabrera/Diaz/Hinske
CF. Ankiel

That is still a solid lineup.  Solid enough to challenge for a spot in the NLCS.

phuk!  I blame this on all of the buttholes on here that pissed off the Baseball Karma Gods.   :fu:

Thrilla's fault.  I asked him if I could abandon the O's and start rooting for the Braves.  He offered up the Yankees instead.  So I then told the BKG's to get fucked, they will never stop the power that is Bobby Cox and the Bravos.

Five statements of WISDOM
1. You cannot legislate the poor into prosperity, by legislating the wealth out of prosperity.
2. What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving.
3. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else.
4. You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it.
5. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that my dear friends, is the beginning of the end of any nation.

No problem.  The Bravos will still win the division by double digits on their way to a World Series victory.

It doesn't matter. We will still win the World Series anyway. Hell, Tim Hudson could have Tommy John, McCann could blow out his shoulder, and Heyward could rip apart his hammy...and we would still win the whole fucking thing! Why? Cause we are the Braves goddamnit!!!
