Goodbye Panther gear
fudge you Carolina.   I only liked you because of Cam.

My limited collection of Panther gear is going in the salvation army bin.

I don't really want to see Cam in any other uniform, though.  Of all the possible destinations I see for him the Chargers, Broncos, Bucs and Bears make me want to vomit on my shoes.  None of those would make me happy.  New England, though?  There would be a certain satisfaction if he went there, won a Super Bowl and proved that Brady was a product of the system.  I guess.  fudge, I don't even like that.

He was a good fit for the Panthers and for the community.  But they continually hindered him with shootty offensive lines and piss poor receivers.  They limited him with Mike fudgeing Shula as OC and then neutered him with Dinosorv Turner as Shula's replacement.

Cam didn't help himself with the outrageous outfits and the outlandish personality but the man was almost enough of a singular offensive threat to win that team a Super Bowl.  What he did almost completely alone in 2015 was a miracle.   Defense and Cam, that was all that team really had.  And it was nearly enough.

He deserves better than he's gotten there.  I just hate to see him anywhere else.  It's not going to feel right.

I actually can kind of get on board with him at the Patriots.  Imagine the one thing that could make everyone hate the Patriots more than most do.
I for never understood the hate for the patriots?  System or not they found a way to get it done and everything else just sounds like sour grapes to me.
"Hey my friends are the ones that wanted to eat at that shootty hole in the wall that only served bread and wine.  What kind of brick and mud business model is that.  Stick to the cart if that's all you're going to serve.  Then that dude came in with like 12 other people, and some of them weren't even wearing shoes, and the restaurant sat them right across from us. It was gross, and they were all stinky and dirty.  Then dude starts talking about eating his body and drinking his blood...I almost lost it.  That's the last supper I'll ever have there, and I hope he dies a horrible death."

I don't hate the Patriots.  Hell, I'm a Red Sox fan.

What I hate?  "Nick Sabbin is pretty much the same as ol Bellycheck, ain't he Pawl?  They jest the best they ever wuz, huh?"

That makes me want them to fail.  Plus, I think they (like Sabbin) cheat like mad bastards.

That is not a completely off base comparison although it is more like Alabama fans trying to elevate themselves to the Patriots and not the other way around.  Let me think about it this way....

Starting QB who was way underrated coming out of college has been to nine super bowls winning six of them and is married to a fudgeing model.

Head coach by most everyone's own admission works circles around his competition and reaps rewards for it.

Team owner willing to go get a rub and tug at the massage parlor.

I not pulling against any of that.  Sounds like the God damn American dream to me.

I've been somewhat of a Pats fan,  well maybe not fan, but more intrigued simply because that "system" is so fun to watch.  You always wondered how they were getting it done with a group of no name backs and  for the most part, receivers.

Cam would be interesting in NE; however, that group of no names has been translating into no talent lately.  They're going to need to go get some weapons no matter who goes there.

This is good, sound reasoning here.  Well thought out and presented in a easy to understand, detailed manner.  Especially the part about the little Vietnamese woman asking "What can you get for 10 dolla?  Any ting you want."

I'd love him to back up Drew Brees.

Re: Goodbye Panther gear
My Panthers gear is in the trash.  All of it now.  Yard flag?  Gone.  Little truck sticker?  Scraped off.

Carolina threw Cam on the trash heap today, so I'm throwing them there as well.  fudge Carolina.

I get that it's a business.  But to treat him this disrespectfully after everything he's done for that team and that community absolutely sucks.

fudge Carolina.

Every reason I had to support that team is gone except for Mac.  I grew to like Luke and Olsen.  Even when Cam wasn't playing, I enjoyed watching them.  They're gone too.

fudge Carolina.

I hope Matt Rhule falls on his fat ass and they go 3-13 for the next decade.

So you're saying you might not pull for the Panthers now?

The highlighted part above is what gets me.  Cam has been the face of that franchise and that community for almost a decade.  Yes, it's business, but you just kind of expect more than, "We done.  Bye Felicia".

Having said that, outside of wanting to see Cam or any former Auburn player do gooder than other good players, I have zero allegiance to any pro team because of Auburn connections.  It's a business for them too.  When I went to see the Panthers play my Birds in the ATL, I wanted Cam to throw for 400 yards and run for 150 more.....but I wanted the Falcons to win by 30.  And I would have been perfectly fine if Julio caught 6 TD passes.

Heresy.

Even if Cam was throwing to Julio, I'd hope that rat bastard dropped every pass.

Look, you've got to respect anyone who would take the pay cut he did when he left Alabama.  The man is playing for the love of the game, for Chrisshakes.

Don’t hate him as much as I hate Yeldon, Evans and that idiot wife abuser.  But I don’t like him any.

That grudge burns forever.  Him. Ewok.  All of them.  Not interested in their success. At all.
