Re: The Walking Dead
The Governor in the comics did some pretty fudgeed up things to Michonne...things you would want to do to her... whilst she was tied up.  Think what he did to Maggie (in the show) only 100x worse.  This is the reason she goes to kill him.  (She takes, his eye, his arm, and his richard and leaves him for dead)

In the show he really never did anything to Michonne.  We know he sends Merle to kill her, but you would think her anger would be construed towards Merle.  I just think they needed to show him a lot more off his rocker than he is in the show....he is pretty fudgeed up in the comics.

I know they aren't trying to be the same as the comics...but I felt the fact that Michonne ran off specifically to wait for him and kill him was a little out of place (had I not known what I did from the comics).

That tells me right there that this show is on the wrong network; lookit, Cinemax would have shown some things and stuff and boobs which would have better explained Michonne's anger whereas AMC doesn't.  Now I'm even more disappointed.

Re: The Walking Dead
You are just hating cause you didn't get Michonne nip.
"Hey my friends are the ones that wanted to eat at that shootty hole in the wall that only served bread and wine.  What kind of brick and mud business model is that.  Stick to the cart if that's all you're going to serve.  Then that dude came in with like 12 other people, and some of them weren't even wearing shoes, and the restaurant sat them right across from us. It was gross, and they were all stinky and dirty.  Then dude starts talking about eating his body and drinking his blood...I almost lost it.  That's the last supper I'll ever have there, and I hope he dies a horrible death."

Well if it was good enough for Thomas Jefferson, it's good enough for him.

Good enough.  Good enough?  Well, Thomas Jefferson was an educated and refined man of good taste and culture like myself.  Settling for 'good enough' was not his thing...he had...more exotic desires.

I've wondered about AMC's ability to fully portray the show as it should be portrayed.

Last Sunday's episode treated Maggie like she was raped, but all she did was take her shirt off.  That's normal behavior in most of Europe.  And then Glenn's acting all put out like something tremendously awful happened to her.

I wonder why they didn't just insinuate that she was raped.  Have the governor throw her on the ground and then cut away to commercial.  Come back and Maggie's quiet and depressed and Glenn's crying.  The audience would understand the implications.

I really like the show, but it could be so much better.  Michonne is annoying.  I can tell that she could be an awesome character that provides a lot of excitement, but so far, as a non-comic book reader, she's just a mad black woman who doesn't want to be around people.

She is not that way in the comics...and she is a huge character and amazing badass in the comics.

You would love what they do to Carl in the comic.  Around issue 85 or so.

I've thought this too, but look at Breaking Bad.

They wouldn't shy away from a rape scene.

Re: The Walking Dead
Last night's episode was AMAZING.  And it made me realize how much the other episodes have sucked.

I'll admit this - I don't like the governor.  Not in a "He's a bad guy" kind of way.  I don't like the actor.  I don't like the character development.  I don't care about Woodbery.  I don't give two shoots about what Andrea decides to do.

The only intriguing part of Woodbery was the experiment the scientist guy ran with the old guy that had recently died.

The show should be more mobile.  I know that the budget limits them, and that's AMC's fault.  This show should be about the apocalypse involving zombies.  There should be a lot of scavenging, cold-hearted vagabonds, and killing of zombies.

If I were the writer, I would:

- Go ahead and get the Woodbery-Prison war over with.  Kill the governor.  Make it exciting.
- Kill Herschel and kill the baby.
- Have two groups.  One is in the country searching for food, survivors, supplies and one in Atlanta or another city or the North or somewhere else.
- If you want to introduce an established city, make it a real city.  Not a 50-person small town that literally never has any action besides a stupid late night WWE tournament.  And because this new city will feature a large population, it will attract herds of zombies.  There's your big time zombie-killing action scenes.
- Give the characters missions besides going to get formula for a baby that doesn't serve a purpose.  Like, the city has a working science lab and needs resources to find a possible cure.  Boom.  Military style runs with serious implications.

Best line of the night was in Talking Dead..."sorry, but we never pick up hitchhikers...but thanks for the backpack."

I chortled at Michonne's line after they got into the building.

Rick:  "So, we're eating his food now, too?"
Michonne:  "The mat said 'Welcome.'"

Re: The Walking Dead
One of the best episodes of the series IMO.
